Kirk, I've been using synergy quite a bit for the last few weeks, and I'm beginning to get the hang of it.
You mention starting a web page... I think a mail list or wiki of some sort would be very helpful for Synergy. I think Dave Engvall has mentioned this before, too. Synergy is kind of hard to use and has some pitfalls that it takes a while to discover. Having said that, its quite useful in my opinion.
