I feel it should stay. If it were to go away, the noise floor would increase significantly making weak signals impossible to recover. I am currently helping someone remotely that is having interference to their system.

Not to mention return of interference to essential communication such as police and fire. Although they have mostly moved to digital so it would not be as bad.

At current levels I do have interference issues with ham radio, however the modes are not digital.

Then Europe and others would not eliminate their requirements. So Products sold internationally would still have to be compliant.

Given what has been discussed here, is there a reason to keep Part 15 subpart B in title 47?

Not to mention digital TV has error correction, making it much less susceptible to EMI. Even OTA and satellite transmissions shouldn’t be affected.

Although today interference to broadcast TV is not the problem it once was. Everyone I know of streams over fiber or at worst watches cable TV. I am sure there are a few still with antennas, but I have not met one in many years now.
