After installing the latest update of org-mode (8.1) through Options - Manage Emacs Packages, I am able to install.
Then if I do: M-x org-version, I get: Org-mode version 7.9.3f (release_7.9.3f-17-g7524ef @ /Users/admin/.emacs.d/elpa/org-20130906/) So, even though I have now elpa/org-20130906/ I seem to reload with version 7.9.3f It seems that the previous version takes precedence. Do you know a way to achieve the desired update? Thanks.
