If you need to distinguish between column and frame-wide footnotes, I
fear you will need to ask the authors of ltx-talk. Currently they only
support frame-wide footnotes, which is what most of us use and need ;-)
If you ever migrate from beamer to ltx-talk for accessible
presentations, I'd ask you to follow up.
I think that this won't happen in near feature. At least not until I got
my themes migrated.
That's what I thought... until reality slapped me in the face :)
