Hi Pedro,

excellent! ~org-latex-default-footnote-command~ is what I was probably looking for (after my second mail). I knew (hoped) there is a way to achieve it in a not-too-hacky way. I added that to my init.el. Thank you very much!

Hi Julian,

You can customise a local variable to get this done. Your MWE (see at
the bottom).

Hi again,
maybe it would be sufficient to export footnotes to \footnote[frame] {...} instead of \footnote{...}. Is there any variable or advice or
similar I could use to make ox-latex behave like this?
There does not seem to be an easy LaTeX way to make 'frame' the
default option for \footnote [1]

Hi,

I can't find a way to work with footnotes on a two column frame in a way, I'd like to use footnotes. Attached you can find a MWE that
hopefully makes clear, what I'd like to achieve:

- Frame 1 contains a native beamer example, that makes the frame
look like I want it to look like.
- Frame 2 contains my attempt to have it defined accordingly in
 org-mode.

Generally, I want to have the footnote's text in the footer of the whole frame and (I think never) in the bottom of a column. It should not matter, whether I use it once or . It would also be fine to set it
up that way globally, if there is a way to do so.

Any hints?
