Hi Dave,

Yes, I'm running HRD.  Now that I think about it, both occasions the VFO
froze, I do believe I had HRD running and connected to the K3.

 

I've unplugged the control cable and turned the K3 on to see if I can
duplicate the problem.  If not, I suppose I could attribute it to an HRD or
USB setting.  I'll report back with my findings shortly.

I've recently noticed that if I leave the K3 on for some time (perhaps 10
minutes or more; I never verified), the VFO knob becomes inactive.  In other
words, spinning it will not change the frequency unless another button is
pressed first.  So far I've been able to "un-freeze" the VFO by hitting the
lock button or the microphone key.  I've never noticed this behavior before.
Is it something new?
