Don, I have traveled with my KX1 quite a bit and have never had a problem. It is in a small Pelican case along with paddles, ear phones, etc. I just tell them it is a radio. I cannot remember ever turning it on to prove it.
Since the XRay machine will not be able to peer into it, it will almost certainly be hand checked. But, other than the inconvenience and a few extra minutes, you should have no trouble (says me). Oh, and I do have a copy of my license (laminated) in with it. A few (not many, but a few) know what it is and what it means. Safe travels. -- Scott (NE1RD) Blachura wrote: > > Hello Folks, > Going on a trip and was wondering what kind of hassle I would get if I > packed my KX1 in my baggage. Would it look like a "bomb"?
