I use the EQ in the radio to attenuate the low end, thus excessive
transmit power being consumed by low frequency audio energy is not a
concern. And I use the EQ on the high end, thus the upper response of
the mike is not a concern. In between those points of the audio
spectrum, the response of the mike is very uniform. I find that
dynamic mikes in general are warmer sounding, where as many Electrect
mikes sound like glass breaking. Specially those in plastic cases.
I've carefully listened to and recorded my SSB transmissions using a
remote SDR. I'm very pleased with the results.
The transmit EQ setting being used are very much like those recommended
by Joe, W4TV and Jim, K9YC.
