Check T4 Gary says... gotta have the correct number of windings.. ok I check it, double check it. and check it again... the correct number of windings....all is ok... oops!!!!!! holes 1 and 2 should be green windings and 3 and 4 should be white, just like I wrote in the book to make sure.... well, guess what, I had them reversed... after a little struggle to take out T4 and put it in correctly.... everything is fine now.. (at least the current part is ok) ..It remains to be seen what else I might have done... :)
thanks for all the suggestions... T4 and that area was the area most folks pointed to.. 73 Tim NZ8J ----- Original Message ----- From: "NZ8J" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "NZ8J" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, July 14, 2005 4:21 PM Subject: Additional info - Problems = Alignment Part III K2 #4993 > I aligned the rest of the bandpass filters and took the following readings.. > > 3750 - 2.38 amp > 7100 - 2.14 amp > 10100 - 1.70 amp > 14100 - 1.26 amp > 18100 - 1.10 amp > 21100 - 1.18 amp > 24900 - 1.14 amp > 28200 - 1.12 amp > > As you can see the higher in frequency, the better the readings are. > However, even on the higher frequencies, the max power output is about 6 to > 7 watts.... > > Thanks > Tim > NZ8J > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "NZ8J" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: <[email protected]> > Sent: Thursday, July 14, 2005 12:17 PM > Subject: [Elecraft] Problems = Alignment Part III K2 #4993 > > > > Well, everything went fairly well up to the part III alignment.
