Hi If the Kenwood has a low level transverter output then you can set up the jumpers for 0 to 1 MW input. Another option would be to build a 50 ohm 3 db power attenuator on the output of the Kenwood. There are several designs in the back of the ARRL handbook. The low level out is the best way to do if the Kenwood has it and I think it does.
