Hi all, www.electrofishing.net serves the global fisheries community.
Our goal is to make electrofishing safe, efficient and effective for technicians, students, researchers and managers. We post regular blog articles (up to 3 per week) on all aspects of electrofishing, gear reviews, links to training courses and so on. The website is an informal partnership between myself (as the founder) and the US Fish & Wildlife Service. It is a collegiate endeavour run in good faith. We are looking for someone to join our team of volunteers and assist us in the social media space – responsible for the day-to-day operation of accounts. I will provide guidance on comms messaging, target audiences etc. While an unpaid role, this is a great opportunity for right person (probably a grad student or postdoc) to learn about science communication, actively drive engagement, and build their network and CV.
