We seek an ecologist interested in time series data with a strong quantitative 
background. The postdoc will analyze existing long-term (25 y) data sets on 
plant and invertebrate populations at ten sites collected by the GCE-LTER, 
interpreting these in the context of abiotic drivers, global change, and 
species interactions. The postdoc is expected to analyze data in R and lead 
manuscripts describing the results. Limited participation in fieldwork is 
possible but optional. The postdoc will be based at the University of Houston 
where they will work under the direction of Dr. Steven Pennings and in 
collaboration with other GCE-LTER researchers. Applicants should have a PhD in 
an environmentally-related field, strong R skills, a strong publication record, 
and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Initial 
appointment for 1 year with renewal for a second year depending on progress.
