Not related to the crashes, but:
1) Are you using NFS with multiple servers? If so, why not also the
new mail_nfs_storage and mail_nfs_index settings?
2) Why dotlock_use_excl=no? Unless you're using NFSv2 it should work
as "yes".
3) Why not copying with hardlinks?
No NFS here. I don't know about the other ones. I will make the
changes per your recommendations.
