Dear John, Thank you for correcting my misunderstandings about DNS history. I've been studying secondhand information from external reports and summaries which could miss the actual story by quite a lotThe DNSOP working group is where this history was made, and I value having access to direct accounts from you and members of the group who were actually involved. This institutional knowledge is invaluable and difficult to obtain just from reading RFCs. I will try to ask more questions before making assumptions about RFC history and I'd appreciate any recommended resources to better understand the actual history of these efforts and their lessons.
