there is a problem w/ cut/paste ... surely we could do better than that?
I'm sure we could and an automated update of DS records is a good idea. But my
point is that in the absence of a similar automated mechanism for NS records we
use cut and paste and it works fine and there is nothing about DS records that
is any more complicated so cut and paste would work fine there too.

EPP is one way an a necesary way to set up the domain the first time,
as for subsequent updates, I can imangine parent copying data from
child when the child is signed, no more cut and paste just DNS queries.
Just rolling keys in 10+ zones and going to through the web interaces is
time consuming and error prone.
