Most embedded SMTP implementations do not perform mail routing. Those
who do have got an automated software update mechanism, thanks to
spam/AV filtering.

"MX 0 ." is quite widely deployed as far as the DNS is concerned, so
you root operators should already get the related A/AAAA traffic.
Theoretically, it shouldn't increase if there are more such MX records
because of the two-stage nature of the lookup.
