Over the last couple of years we had a number of projects (about a dozen) donated from China and we’ve asked them to speak English on the mailing lists, so we could ask them what that experience was like and if anyone felt excluded, I assume that some people felt that they had been. While each project varies, it seems that a lot more of the conversation in these project happen in GitHub or instant messaging rather than on the mailing lists, which has caused some issues.
