Thank you for your clarification.  Nevertheless, I have never opposed
helping users learn about freedom.  On the contrary, if a distribution
says it is free, but it includes nonfree software, it is in practice
misrepresenting itself.  That is not helping users learn.  (I do not
like the word education because I relate it to the formal education
system which I think is hostile to learning and more akin to
standardization.  Standards should be imposed on things, not on people. 
People should be encouraged to be diverse and creative, not standard.)

Advocacy for freedom does not advocate using nonfree software.  Using
some nonfree software when reducing its use is rather sometimes a step. 
But it is better not to add nonfree software to the solution because
most people do not understand it is a step.  They think that using a
mixture is the destination and miss the point of being free.

When did I talk about opportunists?  I just made clear that Fedora is
not free and that I do not support it.  Maybe you consider that
opportunism.  I do sometimes.  But not always.

A person is not free unless they know what is not being free because
they are not aware that they are under some else's control.  We must
taste both sides to value freedom.
