People are confusing habit with hygiene. NAT started out as a habit, and now do it thinking it is good hygiene. It isn't. Has anyone actually seen an IPv6 deployment with NAT? The times I've heard of people doing that it was always people in the planning stages, and by the time they got to the final draft of the plan they decided not to NAT.
