ZFS main-line can't do this yet, but it is capable of using the SSD for ZIL accceleration, which is a big win for NFS metadata operations. There are proprietary enhancements to ZFS that have metadata on SSD, but none in the Illumos tree yet that are production worthy.

I've personally used GPFS with metadata separation. This is for enterprise users only, not for home use at all. The license costs are quite intense, but it's because it's designed for PB of data with enterprise features like replication, journals, quotas, etc. (with a million knobs to tune)
