A single spinning rust HDD can sustain 1Gbit easily, and a 10yr old SSD is 
about the same, but newer better SSD's will be SATA/SAS bus limited (3Gbit, 
6Gbit, 12Gbit). I assume you have multiple drives in your system, so in 
aggregate your drives should be able to sustain multiple Gbits per sec, but 
since you're on a 1Gbit ethernet, no matter what you do, you're going to be 
bandwidth limited by the Ethernet. Even if you had a single rusty HDD, you 
would still be up against that limit.

So in your config, you'll gain no throughput with SSD's.

The SSD's will give you better random IOPS.
