Having started this thread, this is a good spot to jump back in... I asked about a project manager because, although we absolutely need more doers, we need more continuity so that the volunteer doers can do small pieces.
LOPSA needs to hire some doers. One (or more? I've no idea of the economics) people to work where-the-rubber-meets-the-road. People to staff booths if possible, answer emails, or chug through office administrivia like -- well I dunno, processing members' payments was a recent issue, and I can only imagine the long list of "keeps the lights on" sorts of things. One of these paid-doers could at least keep watch over a master list of actual projects in progress, and would give us improved continuity/progress on projects. -- Craig Constantine, http://constantine.name On Mar 2, 2015, at 12:48 PM, Martin James Gehrke <mar...@teamgehrke.com> wrote: This is one man's opinion: What is the best use of our membership dues at this moment? _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list Discuss@lists.lopsa.org https://lists.lopsa.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/discuss This list provided by the League of Professional System Administrators http://lopsa.org/
