The reason AH was raised is to try and bring up the question, what would hiring an ED do better than what AH was doing?

I think we can agree that AH (at least the way we were using them) wasn't drasically better than the volunteers that have been doing the job since. So why would hiring an ED be different.

Yes, we had AH, but we had all radically cut back AH's hours and tried
to get them involved as little as possible, because we recognized that
it was bleeding-cash to do so.

It is impossible to determine what they would have accomplished if we
hadn't been budgetarily hamstringing them.
