I'm looking for feedback on that particular merge request. Only the last commit is particularly interesting, which addresses #414 by eliminating wafhelpers/fix_python_config.py and making the utilities search PYTHONDIR and PYTHONARCHDIR explicitly. The other, earlier commits are things I found while working on this. I also submitted those separately as !614. That one should be uncontroversial and ready for immediate merging. -- Richard
