Hello Eric, Regarding the “mode” setting, for the Adafruit HAT & Ultimate GPS Breakout, I had the following in my notes:
We want "mode" set to 18: 16 = 9600 baud 2 = use PGGGA sentence for time We want to use PGGA sentence because it appears first, closest to the start of the second in each cycle. You have mode set to 17, using message GPRMC. Can someone who knows more than me, explain to me if it really matters? Regarding the 9600 baud, in another thread Gary Miller says we should up the baud rate higher than 9600. Maybe he can reply with a recommendation for this. Thanks, Frank
