This seems to be an isolated bug in rustc and / or LLVM specific to thunderbird.

rustc also gets updated *every six weeks in all branches of Fedora,
not only in Rawhide*, so it just doesn't fit into the same category as
GCC, Golang, etc. which get major versions only in Rawhide and only
every 6-12 *months*.
