Unfortunately, the feeling that I get is that what looks like a finish line 
to you is actually the edge of a deep cliff. ;-)

To explain my metaphore: I think the biggest trouble and chaos has yet to 
come and is unavoidable with the way Modularity works, unless we put some 
very strong policy restrictions on it (which you are not going to like). 
E.g., I fear that desktop Fedora may end up splittered into a KDE/Plasma 
module, a GNOME module, an Xfce module, etc. all shipping different versions 
of some shared (freedesktop.org etc.) libraries, and that all desktop 
applications would end up depending on one of those modules and no longer 
being installable for users of any other desktop.
