OK, so this is item #1 from the list I recently sent if someone is lost.
And I am staying in the "devops" group (people who can restart VM).
I plan a number of actions in 2014, and for that I would really like to
know who is actively acting as admin on our wiki and the different forums ?
Do you mean shell access or web access here, by "admin"?
I am an active administrator of the MWiki from the web interface (mostly
to create new accounts).
I am NOT an administrator on any forum from the web interface. I am a
moderator of the Italian one, that is currently electing two
administrators (election will finish on November 30).
We have at the moment some forums which seems abandoned, I suggest we close
forums where there are no activity and no admins. I will make a compressed
database dump of the forum before closing it. Thoughts ?
Closing is always bad. In principle I would prefer a "read-only mode"
whenever possible. But if you have the links, we can surely have a look
together. (and actually "no admins" is a bit scary, you mean that we
have admins on some forums but they haven't logged in months?)
