+1 I don't remember the program, but the Ubuntu PPA is nothing more than a shell script, which downloads the current version of the software, and installs everything in the correct place, with the appropriate desktop icons. This script does not need to be changed when the program is updated. It also gives users the option of selecting the current stable version, the bleeding edge version, or the previous stable version. (The developer removed the ability to install the daily build, on the grounds that people who need this script, should not do any type of testing.)
