But even if simple, we need first an email address for each forum so users
can send a message. If there is an automated response then better, but
right now there is no way for a new user to "call for help".

The only alternative forums have now (and as a matter of fact, it is being
considered) is to open a mail box on a free mail server and to share the
log-in information between moderators and admins, promoting that address on
the forum itself. But that's a really suboptimal "solution": writing to a
yahoo or gmail address to communicate to the "official community forum of
Apache OpenOffice project" will not be right, I think: something more
"official" will be far better.
