But we should just preprocess the PO files appropriately: even removing
PACKAGE_VERSION altogether would work.
I suggest to use "sed -i" when generating po files.
On a Mac (if Juergen generates them on a Mac) it would be "sed -i ''".
Actually, in general we should document the PO generation process
somewhere: if it is now stable this is a field where we could put some
relatively inexperienced volunteers at work, since it doesn't require
knowledge of the source code.
