I thought this organization welcomed volunteers and contributions to the cause. But when I did try to contribute ideas I was met with condescending responses, cold shoulders and when I tried to join the lead sends me an E-mail telling me my request tp join the Marketing Project is denied for "lack of response" to a welcome E-mail I never received. What was that all about? If she wants to turn me down just say so, don't play games with me.

I'm sorry you feel this way. This is is the introductory email that I sent you as I do all people that apply to join the MP. ---///--- Hello Thank you for submitting your request to join the OpenOffice.org Marketing Project. One of my tasks as a project owner is to approve/disapprove new members to the Marketing Project. You are currently listed in the "Requests pending approval" queue. As you request Observer role to the marketing project, you probably have read one or another of our mailing lists. [email protected] is our main project list, and we strongly recommend subscribing to it for all project members. Probably you have introduced yourself on this list, but we can't align your OpenOffice.org user name to the real name you have posted on the list. Please tell us your real name and a link to your introductory mail on the list. If you didn't introduce yourself by now - please do so and provide your OOo user name in this mail. Or if preferred, by reply to me, and let us know what you wish to bring to the project. If you are not already subscribed to [Marketing], see: http://www.openoffice.org/mail_list.html#project to subscribe to the normal or digest distribution. Participation on this list is independent of any project roles. Successful projects and communities are due to active team members collaborating. I'll wait to hear. We have not heard from you so will decline your request at this time. Thank you for submitting your request to join the OpenOffice.org Marketing Project. I do hope that you will contact us again when you are able to become an active member of the OpenOffice.org Marketing Project.
