The first part og msgid is unique identifier, because these strings (Dialog) are repeating. You dont need to translate this, translation tools like KBabel do not copy them into msgstr. They are needed for improving translation quality in non-english languages. EG. string 'Edit' can be translated in 3 or 4 different ways in many languages, depending is this a verb or nomen or something else :).
