Hi Michael,

I’m writing to apologize for the delay in fixing KIP-909.

I’ve just landed and reviewed the current PR status.

I’ve identified where the implementation diverges, and I’m currently
waiting for/seeking the reviewer's confirmation on the proposed approach to
ensure we're aligned.

Would it be possible to extend the deadline to the end of this week to
finalize this?

Best,
TengYao Chi
