Big thanks to everyone involved in the preparation for this alpha release!

Throughout this week, the current codebase has been tested on Linux and
Windows, all the major issues have been resolved, and the Getting Started
guide has been created. We're now ready for the vote - I will start it
sometime during the weekend or early next week.
