Thank you for the context, Chan. This morning I created a separate repository (iceberg-rust <https://github.com/apache/iceberg-rust>) for the rust implementation. With PyIceberg we already did separate releases from the Java artifacts, also the versioning is different. I think this is an excellent decision since I've experienced similar issues with Avro where a release was done, but nothing changed for many languages, and this added a lot of friction to the process.
