Could you elaborate on why we shouldn't align the project with the latest RFC? 
I understand the importance of flexibility for scenarios like conformance 
testing, but I assumed that adhering to the latest standards would be a 
priority.

I understand the importance of retaining flexibility, especially for scenarios 
like conformance testing. Would you suggest we provide a mode or configuration 
that allows for non-standard behavior, ensuring that while the default behavior 
adheres to the RFC, users can override it when necessary for specific use cases?
