Hi Ufuk Incremental checkpointing can significantly improve the performance of checkpointing. I hope it can be included in release 1.3.
I am working with Stefan on the last subtask, which attempts to implement incremental checkpointing in RocksDB state backend (FLINK-6364). Without future optimizations, the work is near completion. So i think 2-3 more days would be good.
