On top of the things already pointed out, I think there's something to be
said for the clarity you get when filing a bug. It forces you to isolate the
problem and maybe provide a test case. I think, though, that Alex is correct
in saying lots of volunteers would rather avoid the overhead so you will
probably never get a complete picture of the project status just by looking
in JIRA.

I often search the dev list and even google and when there's a problem I'm
struggling with. Googling "numElements flexjs" brought me to  this
