Are we looking at the same Velocity NOTICE? My copy just says: "This product includes software developed by The Apache Software Foundation (http://www.apache.org/)." And like I said [1] says: "Bundling Other ASF ProductsIt is not necessary to duplicate the line "This product includes software developed at the Apache Software Foundation...", though the ASF copyright line and any other portions of NOTICE must be considered for propagation." Please show a chain of logic with quotes that explain [1] indicates that Velocity needs mention in NOTICE. We have a set of files in our repo that end up in the source package. Feel free to compare that set against Batik 1.7 which AFAIK, is not bundled in the source package. I personally don't feel the itch to question the mentor's conclusions at this time. -Alex
