It has indeed stalled. Nevertheless, it was an interesting discussion. The openness demonstrated by this group is unusual as it is refreshing. It seems that ultimately the status quo (inaction) won the day which is not entirely surprising in the context of a consensus-driven group. In my opinion, some of the objections raised against 0.0-EMPTY overestimated the probability of unlikely negative events while underestimating positive effects. Given that apparently Apache Commons will not sanction 0.0-EMPTY, I'll have to find another solution.
