Thanks for bringing this topic up! If Apache MADlib can support Cloudberry on the upstream, that would be great. However, from my perspective, our Cloudberry contributors currently do not have enough resources to fully support the maintenance of MADlib as a subproject of Cloudberry.
Also, I did a simple & quick survey in the WeChat group. The responses showed that MADlib is not recognized as one necessary and popular tool for most AI/ML workloads when using Greenplum. Given this, I personally don’t see strong demand within our current user base. Just my thoughts, FYI. Love to hear more.
