JD, Apache MADlib seems largely abandoned at this point. I'm bringing this
up to the Cloudberry community to gauge interest. Early in my involvement
with the project (pre-Apache), I came across its MADlib work (
https://github.com/cloudberry-contrib/madlib). A few developers had
essentially forked Apache MADlib and adapted it to make Cloudberry a fully
supported database version. However, this was done in isolation and did not
incorporate the Python 3 updates from the MADlib v2 main branch.
Additionally, the work was never contributed back upstream to MADlib. If
there's interest in integrating MADlib into Cloudberry, I’d be happy to
collaborate with ASF mentors and champions to support that effort.
