Hi,

We are still targeting next Monday 25th of July to start creating the first
release candidate for 9.0.0.

We are down to 37 Open/In progress issues and 6 blockers from 144 issues
and 7 blockers from a couple of weeks ago. Thanks everyone for the great
effort there!

This is the link to the confluence page that was made to track the progress
for the 9.0.0 release [1].

As usual when approaching a release we have started seeing an increased
number of failed nightly builds, it would be great if you could take a look
for possible issues introduced by your changes [2] [3].

We have started tagging the tasks related to the nightlies with a Nightly
label so it's easier to query them [4].

There have been 447 Resolved/Closed JIRA tickets so far! Lots of good
things on the new release!

Thank you,
Raúl
