Yeah, I would expect us to follow the "normal" deprecation and remove path to be more confident in the eventual unshipping: 1. Gather telemetry on how often these APIs are used to measure feasibility. 2. Indicate in the console when these APIs are used that they are deprecated. 3. Bonus points for indicating in the console by which Firefox release they are expected to be gone. (This might require more knowledge on usage though.)
