While bigger may not be better, I don't see why Mozilla should offer an en-US dictionary for localized Firefox builds that is different than the en-US dictionary for en-US builds.
The en-US dictionary for localized Firefox was last updated in March 2013 according to https://addons.mozilla.org/da/firefox/addon/united-states-english-spellche/versions/
But the en-US dictionary for en-US Firefox was updated 61 times since then according to https://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/log/tip/extensions/spellcheck/locales/en-US/hunspell/en-US.dic
