I second the GMAIL experience. I have about 15,000+ messages in the
INBOX. TB persistently downloaded 3 messages, possibly with large
attachments over and over til I hit the GMAIL daily limits, and drew
2GB+ of usage off my mobile hotspot. Since I was only watching activity
monitor afterwards, I dont know what messages it was downloading.
Compacting the mailbox did not help. Repairing the mailbox seemed to
have done the trick, although I am not certain if that was the fix, or
new messages flowing into the mailbox was the real fix. I have several
other mailboxes that do not appear to exhibit this problem (including
another GMAIL one that appears to work ok, at least according to
activity monitor).
