Joris: I probably agree with you, but the problem is that we do not have a reproducible issue yet with other servers. The Zarafa server issue is real, and because a bug should be limited to one issue, at some point we will need to switch this discussion to other bugs, and declare this bug as specific to the Zarafa server, and "fixed".
But let me emphasize again how important it is for anyone experiencing this to develop a test case, and provide access to that test case to a core developer. Erik's issue was easily reproducible, and it did not take long to locate the problem. Irving or I can quickly pin down a fix if we have a reproducible case, but it is almost impossible without one. Currently, we only have a reproducible issue with the Zarafa server. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to thunderbird in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1074260 Title: Thunderbird heavy IMAP traffic downloading messages Status in Mozilla Thunderbird Mail and News: In Progress Status in “thunderbird” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Thunderbird (as of version 16?) generates a lot of IMAP traffic, continually redownloading messages.
