Hello, I am experiencing the same issue in all my 24.04 deployments. I also see the syslog: gnome-shell[3551]: Cursor update failed: drmModeAtomicCommit: Invalid argument
After applying the workaround MUTTER_DEBUG_FORCE_KMS_MODE=simple The issue is solved. In my case, I don't have multiple monitors per se. I have my Ubuntu's deployed as VMs within ESXi, I access the monitor using the ESXi console. When Ubuntu goes to sleep I can never get it back to work, although everything else works fine (I also SSH into them). This behavior was not happening in 22.04, it started after the upgrade... Let me know if anything is needed from my setups to help find the bug... -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to mutter in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2075526 Title: Ubuntu 24.04 LTS - Monitor freeze in multi-monitor setup To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mutter/+bug/2075526/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
