I'm not sure what the state of the world is DDC-wise on PowerPC's. iMac monitors are, I would guess, fairly standard 15" multisync devices; why not just try telling debconf you've got a 15" monitor in the "simple" configuration? E.g., "dpkg-reconfigure -plow xserver-xfree86" as root. > if you need me to dreg up log files, lemme know. A copy of your /var/log/XFree86.0.log would be great. Though if you truly set your VertRefresh "range" to exactly the value 60.015 I'd bet heavy money that that's causing a problem.
